K93K and Dog Carnival!

The 2018 event was a lot of fun and it gave us some great ideas to make the 2019 even better. So stay tuned for details on the Saturday, June 8, 2019, K93K and Dog Carnival and, in the meantime, following is a glimpse of our first K93K. First runner in on the K93K was Loretta Schmidt.

9 a.m. Fun Run/Walk
9 a.m. to Noon, Dog Carnival
Humane Society of the Black Hills
1820 E. St. Patrick Street

The K93K and Dog Carnival will be the Humane Society of the Black Hills annual summer event with 2018 being the first! Held right here at the Humane Society on East St. Patrick Street, we’ll host a fun walk/run with vendors and activities.

You do NOT need to register for the fun run/walk to attend the Dog Carnival and visit the vendors and activities.

This is a dog friendly walk/run and event to support the Humane Society of the Black Hills!

Schedule of events:

8 a.m.:
Table open for day-of, $20 registration for walk/run.
You do NOT need to participate in the run/walk to join us at the Dog Carnival from 9 a.m. to noon. The Dog Carnival is free and open to everyone… join us! Event shirts and swag bags will be available for the first 100 registrants.

K93K Registration Form

8 a.m.: Raffle tickets on sale for one of three baskets of pet-related products. Items were donated by area businesses. Drawing will be held by noon.

9 a.m.:
Run/walk starts
This is an out and back route that starts at the Humane Society of the Black Hills and, after two blocks on city streets, follows the bike path to the turnaround. This is a dog friendly route (but please pick up after your pet!). Lost Cabin Brewery will be at the turnaround with dog treats and water!

9 a.m. to Noon:
Vendors and events
Vendors and events will be located on the east side the Humane Society of the Black Hills, 1820 E. St. Patrick Street. Coffee and ice cream will be available, pet-related vendors, events!

Parking:
Parking will be available on the west and north sides of the Humane Society building. If the lot on the west side of the building is full, please park behind the Humane Society on event day. Enter the parking on the west side of the facility and follow the signs to day-of parking. Parking area map

INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN:
In the event of rain (or snow…) the walk/run will go on as scheduled. Events planned will be cancelled. Vendors will be moved in to the Humane Society building, space permitting.
