Join Custer State Park and the Humane Society of the Black Hills on a new, monthly summer adventure: Hiking With Shelter Dogs!
The first Friday of every month during the summer of 2021, canine companions and staff from the Humane Society of the Black Hills will be joining friends from Custer State Park and fellow hiking enthusiasts on the George S. Mickelson trail for a new, exciting event. This fun hiking opportunity will give the shelter pups extra socialization, exercise, and hopefully a larger chance at finding a forever home!
Requirements to join:
- You must pre-register for Hiking With Shelter Dogs by calling Custer State Park representatives at (605) 255-4515.
- Attendees must have a valid Mickelson Trail Pass. (Click here for purchasing information)
- Attendees must sign a waiver at the trailhead to handle Humane Society of the Black Hills’ canines
