Each year, the Humane Society of the Black Hills hosts the annual end-of-summer fundraiser, Wags and Waves, bringing canines and their owners together for fun in the sun at the Jimmy Hilton pool – all in support of shelter pets. The fundraiser raised nearly $3,000 for our shelter in 2019.
We’re sad we are unable to host Wags and Waves this year, but we still want to have a SPLASH of fun with our community!
We invite all pet owners to take part in their own version of Wags and Waves through an online Facebook event.
Now through the end of August, dog owners can share photos of their canine companion playing in their favorite body of water in the Facebook event discussion. Lakes, pools, even bathtubs – we want to see them all!
Head to Facebook and share the event with your friends. Encourage them to “Like” your photo – the pup with the most Likes and reactions wins a prize basket of dog apparel, toys, and more!
