The Humane Society of the Black Hills has worked closely with the City of Rapid City to review and propose updates to Title 6 of the Rapid City Code of Ordinances which pertains to animals.  The revisions are being proposed to update outdated language, clarify ordinances, and better serve animals and the residents of Rapid City. 

In late April, ordinance proposals were made available for viewing here, and comments, inquiries, and other feedback were warmly welcomed and highly encouraged to be sent in by May 24, 2021.   These ordinance proposal updates are now in review with the Rapid City City Council.
